I'd much rather spend the money on an X68000 setup.

Yes yes. More to the dark side.

We have 1080p 60fps in every game (if you're willing to pay for it of course).

Honestly I am interested in an Xbox One. I keep finding it hard to be interested in a PS4 despite the fact that it is the better system in a lot of ways. Something about the exclusives so far have just been so unappealing.
Older. Not wiser.

FTFY.

At least aim high.

But yea 144fps is amazing. It's worth it just to never have to use v sync or deal with screen tearing.

The average human eye can process approximately 60-75 fps. I mean, I can see aiming for 80 or 90 just in case, but 144? The overwhelming majority of people can't process anywhere near that.

But hey, I guess if you have the money, why not?
Gunning for a licensed NES NTSC-U set, follow the madness and poverty here!
Cheat sheet of my collection, always looking to increase it. 405/677 licensed games, 46/"95" unlicensed

Eh it's debatable what the human eye actually can tell the difference between. There's a website that has a bunch of different webm's that show 60vs120, which of course I can't seem to find, but you can for sure see the improvement at 120.

My main thing is when you have frame drops at 60 fps you can definitely tell since it's dropping to sub 40 usually whereas at 144 fps you aren't really going to notice frame drops since you'll most likely still be above 100 fps.
