I walked in the other room to see that Germany was winning 5 to 0. I thought, wow, that game must have been fun to watch.

Then I saw it was halftime.

So much wat.

The cameraman is having a whale of a time picking out pretty crying girls.

I am just flabbergasted by what I've seen. I thought the two champions league semi-finals two seasons ago were fairly mental. But this is something else.

The strange thing about this is that I still can't back Germany to win the cup because this performance is less about how good they were and more about how much of a shambles Brazil were. An absolute shambles. This isn't the biggest humiliation for Brazil: this is the biggest humiliation in world football history.

Wow.

Didn't that already happen in 1966?

I think it's a toss-up for tomorrow's match. I don't know that either Argentina or Netherlands has a counter for Germany. If they get in the groove and pick out players and play unselfishly like they did today and against Portugal, they'll be World Champions.

My favorite thing in the game was the look of the Geramn goalie after the one goal Brazil scorred. He actually looked frustrated

Oh yeah with all the talk of the goals which numbered as much Megaman sequels, I forgot to talk about the German keeper. He made some AMAZING saves in the second half. Yeah Brazilian players didn't make the best choices, but some of those were really good shots and any lesser goalie wouldn't have been able to defend them.

Really looking forward to the final now :). Heck even the 3rd place game should be exciting, since Brazil will probably try to give its fans one last good thing to make them happy.

This is why people shouldn't put much stock into competitive sports as a cultural backbone. Be it the Brazilians or southern Europeans or elsewhere.. Just be like the Irish, pessimistic till the very end

5 pounds to pick one of 32 teams at random? That's horrible odds. It's like paying 5 pounds to get kicked in the groin.

Scolari should play Fred and Jo in the third place game just to troll everyone.

Still in shock. Fucking German's.

Edit: I guess Brazil can now finally join the "Hating the Germans" club.
