Been thinking about picking one up, but $14.99 is still about $10 more than I typically like to pay for a game. I know these are Hideo Kojima games..... Are they like Metal Gear at all? Because I don't like Metal Gear.
They are like Metal Gear only to the extent both series are very, very polished. I very much enjoyed the ZOE games, and $14.99 is a great price for, arguably, two of the greatest "mecha" games of all time. (While ZOE2 is, IMO, much better than ZOE, they are both very good, very fast, and very intense games.)

Man, wonder how badly I'll kick myself later for not picking up these 2 blue gba sp's at goodwill that were 7.99 each.....I don't know why but I'm getting really bad about being at the point where I want to test things like that before committing to it. If they're somehow still there tomorrow I need to take my gba sp charger up there and see if they'll let me test them

At that price I'd have bought them straight away.

Yeah I'm half tempted to grab my gba charger and head back up there...7.99 isn't half bad especially if they work(even if I do end up using one as a sacrifice to light up on of 2 original gba's I have :| )

edit: nevermind...why would I expect them to be there close to a hour later....taht's what I get for taking a interest in them...someone must've saw and bought them when I didn't originally....oh well maybe I'll finally spot some other cartridge stuff soon. That was a first seeing gba's(especially was shocked when I saw the gamecube games last time I really went on a hunt)

I really hope those GBA SPs were not the AGS-101. Even if they were the 1st gen, that was a good price for them.

I hear ya on finding Gamecube games at Goodwill. They don't pop up often here.

I meant Mass Effect. I just remember the first one not being as fun for me, and the side missions being very grating.

No they were 001's...I don't think 101's were that popular here. Everyone I remember that had a sp had a 001 it seemed. Ah well maybe one day some more cartridge based stuff will pop up. Kinda sucks to not see that type of stuff often there

Yeah, you never know when the mood will strike to play Four Swords Adventures in multiplayer!

So, I've been researching the Tales series in more depth today for a retrospective I am writing, and apparently, the reason Tales of Eternia was released as Tales of Destiny 2 in North America was because of Mattel's trademark on He-Man. I guess I just never made the connection.

Not to be pedantic but it was Tales of Destiny II in North America. Tales of Destiny 2 is a completely different game! Gotta love RPG localization.
