Cleaning/Replacing the Sega Genesis pin connector?

Post by LCDSCREEN »

So I'm cleaning my Genesis right now, I took it all apart, got all the age old dust and grime out, and now it's looking good as new and I got the "Restart" button to work again, so that's AMAZING! So while I'm at it, how would I clean the pin connector were the games go in? I don't wanna damage anything...

I would just use a can of compressed air and call it a day. Maybe a tooth brush if there's stuff on it.

Looks like that would be the way to go. I'll do it some time later, thanks.

I know, Tails looks so cute. I use this as my avatar for everything, and every time I see it it just makes me so happy. :D

You could try folding over an index card, dipping it in very pure isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol, and inserting it repeatedly as if it was a cartridge. That might do it.
