I haven't watched all the games. I think those games were the early games which i haven't watched because i've hanging out late with friends lately.

No they were all in the knockout phase. There are no penalty shoot-outs in the first phase.

Any of the four teams could easily wind up champions, to varying degree.

1. Brazil could continue to ride the wave of home team advantage and grind out a win against Germany.
2. Germany plays beautifully and uses their midfield to dominate the possession game, even with Willian replacing Neymar, I see this as very likely.
3. Argentina advances after Messi puts the team on his shoulders for the 6th time this World Cup.
4. Van Persie and Robben finally click for the first time since the Spain and Australia matches and power through to the finals.

It's going go be a great semi-final round, that's for sure!
