Sweet, glad to see someone else satisfied with the Retron 5.

Gunstar Green wrote: Overall the Retron 5 is pretty slick, despite the rocky launch and all of the Internet doomsaying it's a fun new way to experience your collection. The firmware updates are not very intuitive at first and the save file feature is just sort of broken, but the first problem is fine once you figure it out and whether or not the second problem is a big issue for you depends on your own opinions and what you want to get out of the console.
Wow, great write up. Thanks for taking the time to post your opinion!

Awesome! I love hearing all these opinions, and although they vary a bit, most of them come to similar conclusions. Super excited for mine... whenever it gets here.

Eye, me three. Black model on back order from amazon. Just found killer instinct, super street fighter turbo, and a madden title all for the SNES plus two more nintendo brand controllers at grandmas house. Its killing me not having the console yet to play. I gotta go to a game store tomorrow for the kids and I know they are probably going to have one in stock to torment me.

I can confirm that Sonic 3 & Knuckles works great now though it might take a few shots to get it to recognize. Feels great having my childhood save backed up digitally.

It's official -- the SNES mouse not only works on games that support it, but you can also use it to navigate around the Retron 5's OS.

Well I was hoping to get mine before I moved into a new house but it looks like that ain't happening.

Do any online stores have these in stock currently? If so I'll consider buying another one and then cancelling my Amazon order.
