common to rare
Well while looking for some common n64 stuff today...we ran across a boxed nomad. I dont know much on nomads as i have never looked into them really. But we paid 25$ for it, with box, manual, battery pack, Football bs, nba jam, and power jack. Only bad thing is the cardboard inside the box where the nomad would be held is missing, but other than that everything is in really good shape. So...deal or bust? Most things i saw on ebay either didnt sell or had alot of games with them, any sega gurus wanna help out?
Yep, I know im the one ya love to hate.

I'd say that was a pretty good find. I'm assuming that it works well.

Everything works really well, actually been playing sonic 2 on it for a good 30 mins and everything was dandy. The screen has a few VERY light scratchs but more or less the same old typical thing you see, turn it on see nothing, hold it in the right light and ah ha! kinda thing. More sega history to the shelf:)

You actually shouldn't need to worry too much about the lighting, since the slider on the bottom right of the Nomad lets you adjust the brightness level of the screen.

Great deal, there's no doubt in my mind that you could sell that nomad w/ battery pack and instructions in the neighborhood of $100 easy. Great find.
Isn't it great when you find something like that in the wild?

actually...yes, yes it was lol. I figured oh great...he is going to open the box for me...and its going to be a gameboy or something to that nature. When i saw how clean the nomad was i almost wet myself. He said he used to be a big seller at that fleamarket in retro stuff, ill be sure to go back in a month or so to see what else he has in.pompeyparsons wrote:Great deal, there's no doubt in my mind that you could sell that nomad w/ battery pack and instructions in the neighborhood of $100 easy. On a sad note....,outside of the fleamarket, 2 segas model 1 and 2...both outside...on a table where it had been damp all morning, also 2 model 1 nintendos, and several other controllers/wires *sega cd justifier revolver for one* I thought about getting them but for the price of them and knowing the guy let the stuff just sit outside...couldnt do it.

I had the exact same problem with one of our flea market guys in Saint Louis. Great stuff, all outside, all the time. For loose carts, it doesn't really matter. But the boxed stuff suffered because of it.lost_within wrote:actually...yes, yes it was lol.
