I'm honestly just laughing about this. It's clear EA always thought of the portable market as a way to steal money from children (idiots in EA's mind) my making lesser ports of its console big brand games, with zero care about quality, and now they have moved that over to the tablet market and looking for their own Clash of Clans or Candy Crush."We were supportive of both of those platforms," Moore said. "But then you've got finite resources and you've got teams that say, 'We really think that two or three years from now, these are the platforms that people are going to be consuming games on.' And you look at the quality of what you can do on phones and tablets... Sometimes strategy is not about what you do but what you don't do, and you have to make some hard calls when you've got only so many people. To my point, we've got to be planning for FY 17 and 18. Do you think the Vita and 3DS are going to be around in some shape or fashion by then on a scale level?"
I don't think I've ever bought a game from them on a handheld so I'll not miss them at all, but do you think we'll be seeing drying up support of handhelds by western developers? And now that I think about it, I don't think I've EVER bought a western developed game on a handheld, with the exception of some amazing indie games from the eshop.
