The spiral in Europe was blue because the orange spiral was already trademarked by some German company. Well so people say... I don't have hard fact on this except that the company exists with said spiral.metaleggman wrote:why was the spiral bluelordofduct wrote:I remember when Shenmue II was in the Gamestop's... all the ones around me had one copy each. And the store clerks new to forewarn everyone of the matter with it being PAL. They tried giving me the rant one day when I was looking at it, I shook my head and explained why the spiral was blue. They shut up.Zalphier wrote:I meant PAL shenmue 2, I know ds games are region free. Even still though, I bet most shonen jump readers would understand this game. I myself, only know around twenty words in japanese. But it's still neat that they're tapping into the imports, makes it easier for average consumers like myself to get ahold of these things.
They also say that because they couldn't go with orange they went blue (instead of red, green, purple) merely because Genesis's logo was blue for Europe.
edit:
Oh and I looked up the company, it was Tivola
you know how it is, you can never really get hard fact on marketing plans. What marketing campaign really stands up and formally announces WHY they do this or that. So I restate, these are the assumptions.
