Not a movie, but I just watched this documentary on the Elm Street series called Never Sleep Again (as in 1, 2, Freddy's coming for you ... 9, 10, never sleep again). It's four hours long. It's on NetFlix (streaming). I'd definitely recommend it if you're into the series, or are generally just entertained by such documentaries. LOTS of stuff I never knew about the movies. Like how part two is considered to be the most homoerotic horror movie of all time.

I haven't watched the Nightmare on Elm Street series for a while now. Something like 10 years at least. I've been wanting to watch them again for the past year or two, but never got around to it. Now I really wanna watch them.

^Do it! Part 2 is infinitely better when you consider the homoerotic subtext. 1, 3, and New Nightmare are still the best though.

Yeah, I agree. 1, 3 and New Nightmare were always my favorites. I never noticed all the homoerotic undertones of the second one, and I always liked it better than 4 and 5. But after watching that documentary, and watching the movies again after so much time, maybe I'll have new opinions.

But honestly, I think they make a bigger deal out of the second one than it actually is. Or maybe it's just me. When there's a line that could be taken sexually or not, I always take it as not. So the line, "Something wants to get inside me," and the response, "And you wanna sleep with me?" I didn't take as sexual. They do have a good point about him leaving the girl that wanted to get with him to go to the guy's house though. And the "no girls allowed" sign on his door? He's a little too old for that.

Anyways, I just finished watching the first one again. I'll be watching the rest soon.

I forgot to mention... The documentary talked about the short lived TV series "Freddy's Nightmares" where Freddy is pretty much the Crypt Keeper. They talked about how horrible they were, but the pilot episode is Freddy's back story. I wanna at least watch the pilot. Has any one seen any of the TV series?

The second Nightmare on Elm Street is probably my favorite one.

I saw a few episodes when it was on the Chiller channel. It's not really horrible, but it's pretty damn mediocre. Considering how engaging Freddy is I found most of it pretty boring, which is why I stopped watching. The only episode of real interest to Nightmare fans is the pilot. I'd say just watch that and skip the rest.

I think dsh is subconsciously trying to tell us something, but I can't put my finger on it...

Batman(1989 movie) - Phew...finally finished this movie, took forever since I kept breaking to sleep for work. Great movie just wish in that final fight that vickie would of at least made it look like she was struggling a little bit when the gun was revealed to be a "toy"....the limp noodle act was a little disappointing....(though funny with all the nude paintings in the movie....that wouldn't of flied in todays world if it happened )

Be put off, man. It's rough. I've only watched the second Transformers movie and this one, and I'd say this was worse, mainly because of the runtime. There was a lot of robo-fighting, but I'm not sure if there'd be enough to keep an almost-five year old entertained for three hours, y'know? That said, I'm no expert on little ones. If you can convince them to want to see "How to Train Your Dragon 2," I'd say that's a much better time.
There was way too much crap forced in for shits and giggles for me.

Also, they should have stuck with just one of the main *robot* enemies. One or the other, not both like they did.

World War Z

While it was a fine zombie movie, it was not World War Z. It had some nice touches about the world, like how Brad Pitt figured out the infection time, but it was so disjointed and bouncy. Steady cam people, they exist for a reason, not every shot has to be hand held.
