Long Christmas break...

Post by Ack »

So the last few weeks I got to spend time with the family, as well as the girlfriend's family. While I hadn't asked for much, I did have some money that I put towards picking up a few games for my PS2 collection.

Bloody Roar 4
Haunting Ground
Maximo
Silpheed
Viewtiful Joe

I love clearance sales, I only paid over five bucks for two of those games($7 for Bloody Roar 4 and $15 for Haunting Ground). I spent a little time with each to test it out, and I've been playing a good bit of Bloody Roar. My girlfriend's been enjoying Haunting Ground, so I think they were all worth the price of admission.

I've also gotten my hands on a few DC burns, and have been enjoying the games I missed on it. Good times.

How about you guys? Spend any time with specific games over the break? I realize there's been a Christmas loot thread(beyond socks and underwear, I don't have too much to contribute), but...what have you been playing?

I got a helluva lot of DS games this christmas. I've been playing a lot of Castlevania, Metal Slug, Zelda and The World Ends with you. I also have been deep into Animal Crossing: City Folk and WarioLand for Wii.

I've spent most of the season getting to the 80 hour mark in Persona 4 (on the last dungeon) and playing a bunch of SSF2THDR. Wow, even the acronym is unweildy.

I spent most of this week trying to beat Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles. I just know the next time I play it I will be bringing more tvs. Your damn Liltie is taking up to much space on my memory card Ack...

I also played alot of FFCC:Rings of Fate - in anticipation of Echos of Time, a fair chunk of Robotech Battlecry, and spatterings of a handful of SNK titles and Castle of Shikigami 3. Granted I should have been playing Okami or Phantasy Star IV, but whatever.

I moved my genny up to my house at school over the break, and the only friend who plays SF3: Third Strike is in town for a while, so that has been awesome.

I went off somewhere for xmas, so ended up only having pokemon to play on, pokemon red that is.

Must've clocked about 24 hours on that in about 4 days

I've been playing the first Shadow Hearts which is really good by the way. I'm thinking about tackling Final Fantasy 12 or Dragon Warrior 7 next.
