School Grades
School Grades
So I am in my last semester as an undergraduate chemical engineer and I just got my grade report today... they didnt complete my report! A 2-semester class is labeled as an incomplete! That drops my semester GPA from a 3.5 to a 2.9, which is huge as I am applying to countless graduate programs. I normally wouldnt worry too much about something like this, but the professor (I just called her at home I am so upset) also forgot to send in my graduate school recommendations! Am I the only person to get screwed over like this?

Re: School Grades
I do believe I would be having a talk with that professor...and the department head. That's a pretty huge mistake.
Re: School Grades
If the professor can't fix it the Dean of the department might be able to help. Remember that everyone makes mistakes and kindness usually gets a lot further than being mad.

Re: School Grades
As an educator (middle school) I can tell you that things like this happens sometimes... If the professor is usually incompetent you need to go higher up if not contact him/her first.
After you handle it with the prof, you need to contact the school of engineering's secretary and butter her up by pleading your case (in a calm manner) to get you a new copy of your transcript/grades a.s.a.p. One thing I have learned about the education system is that if you have the secretary on your side shit gets done - and it gets done fast.
Good luck man.
