Good day,
I have a SEGA Genesis 2 model PC BD MD2 VA0 USA and I noticed that the right audio channel barely works, only some sound effects are heard from it. Same problem occurs either I connect it via RGB Scart or via Composite RCA (I have RCA modded it)
I changed every single capacitor on the board just in case, but the problem persists.
The main IC has this written on it:

FC1004
9314 ZFDE

Any help will be highly appreciated.

You're calling it a Genesis, so I'm assuming you're in the States. You said you're using RGB SCART and composite. So what are you plugging it in to? Maybe try using it on another monitor/TV and/or sound system to rule out some possibilities.
The audio quality is super bad on that revision anyway. I would suggest to you to get another revision rather than trying to fix it.
I know that when reading about audio comparisons it's easy to just brush everything off as audiophile snobs, but in this case, everything is completely true. The late revisions of the model 1 and early revisions of the model 2 have piss poor audio. I guess I thought, "How bad could it actually be?" The answer is, VERY. When I finally compared an early revision model 2 to an original model 1 and later revision model 2, it's perfectly clear just how bad it is. It's horrible static garbage.
Unless you wanna try the Crystal Clear Audio mod, I would just hunt for a better revision on the model 2. But even if you were interested in doing the mod, you might wanna try and fix the problem first. It would suck to do the mod and still have an audio issue. Or, the mod could FIX the issue, but I guess that's a gamble since you don't know what's causing the problem.

No I'm not in the States, I'm in Europe.
It's not a problem with my TV. I'm using a SONY 21" CRT TV and it's perfectly capable of displaying at both 50/60HZ using an RGB Scart cable.
I have actually modded this console and added Composite RCA AV (Yellow, Red, White) output.
I'm not interested in installing the crystal clear mod at this moment before I figure out what's the problem with the audio.
