ZeroAX's gaming collection 2014 Edition

Post by ZeroAX »

Well I haven't made one of these in like 4 years so I might as well. I don't have a gaming setup right now, I just take everything out to play and then put it back in the box, so here are pictures of my games, starting with

Sega Mega Drive

Image

That box without a cover is my copy of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 from when I was a kid. The second video game I ever owned. The first video game that I owned is that copy of Sonic and Knuckles. The box actually belongs to another copy which I bought on ebay and kept the box and donated the second cart to the racketboy auction. Also not seen here, my first console, a Mega Drive II, which I still own but I didn't bother taking a picture of it.

PlayStation 2

Of all these games, with the exception of One Piece (anime fighter) and Sonic Mega Collection (retro compilation) I've only ever beaten Final Fantasy XII. I did get very close to beating Kingdom Hearts too though. I also own a copy of Yakuza 1 which I seem to have misplaced the case for (the disk was in my PS2 fat, I also own a PS2 slim), and that copy of Dark Chronicle (Dark Cloud 2 for you Americans) is still sealed.

PlayStation 3

Part 1:

Part 2:

I also own Infamous 2 and Little Big Planet 1, but I've lend them to a friend. You will also notice from a later picture I own the North American collector's edition box of Little Big Planet 2, yet here I have a European copy. I bought both copies, the American copy for the awesome collector's goodies (the European CE just sucked), and the EU copy to carry on my bought DLC from LBP1. Also I had forgotten I even owned Tekken Tag Tournament 2.

PlayStation

Perhaps the closest I've come to beating all the games I own for one console (beaten FF 8 and 9, still working on Megaman Legends 2)

Nintendo Wii

That second One Piece game is also sealed. One of my favorite consoles over the years, there are many awesome games I still want to buy for it but I never seem to get down to it. Also my second biggest collection of games after the PS3.

Nintendo Gamecube

Image

Sad fact, I used to own around 15+ Gamecube games and they were AMAZING but then I started selling them and ended up keeping my favorite 3, even though I regret selling at least another 7-8 (among them Tales of Symphonia, which I sold at a VERY low price, around 25-30€)

Nintendo DS

Image

I'm really sorry for the ultra shaken picture I really don't have a steady hand with light things (smartphone). Again I owned like 12-14 DS games, among them some true gems but I sold them, or in the case of Phoenix Wright 1 and Mario Kart DS, I forgot them inside a box which my mother threw away :(.

Nintendo Game Boy

Image

Missing from here are many games that I gave away to my little cousins which I don't really care for (cartridge only copies of pokemon, lucky luke ect.). I believe that with the exception of the Asterix game I have almost everything that I'd want from the gameboy library. (want to buy the 2 GBC Zelda games one day). I also owned around double the amount of games you see here back in the day, but trade offs, hands offs (and 2 cases of lending cartridges which I never got back) left me with far less games....to be fair I did get that copy of Zelda from a kid who moved away, forgot it with another kid, who then also moved away, making it a double-y stolen item

Nintendo Game Boy Advance

Image

Another very shaken photo, I'm sorry. Though I think you can tell which games they are (that lone cartridge under the 3 Donkey Kong Country games is Riviera. I actually think I haven't sold off almost any games that I really liked on the GBA (with the exception of Final Fantasy Tactics Advance). Awesome system, but I should have bought less SNES ports . I used to own a GBA which I gave to the racketboy auction when I bought a GBA SP a couple of years ago.

Super Nintendo

Image

I own a Super Famicom which has been modded to work on European TVs and play games from every region in 50 and 60Hz mode. But almost every game I own is an American copy since they are cheaper and I think the cartridges look cooler (but of course the console and the controller look muuuuuuuuuuuuch better in Europe and Japan)

Nintendo 3DS

Games:

Console:

My favorite system currently. I also own many games from the eshop (though only 3 retail releases, Harvest Moon A New Beginning, Fire Emblem Awakening (duh), and Phoenix Wright Dual Destinies, which of course didn't get a retail release in the west)

It's also the only limited edition console I ever owned and I really like the Fire Emblem design on the top :)

Lastly all my collector's/limited edition stuff

Image

Horri arcade stick from Tekken 6 bundle (bought at less than 1/3 the initial retail price).
Xenoblade Chronicles Collector's Edition
Super Mario All Stars for the Wii
Little Big Planet 2 CE (I've got the bookstands and plushie somewhere in the house together with a bunch of other LBP stuff)
PS3 LBP bundle
3DS Fire Emblem edition....

ok I don't own a bunch of collector's stuff I guess. But I found this old photo of all my LBP stuff. Unfortunately a lot was thrown/given away when I moved houses and I really regret it but I just had NO space :(

Image

I also own a LBP drinking mug/cup which isn't in this picture for some reason.

Good stuff man.

The minimalistic artwork on the PAL Final Fantasy games looks so much better than what we got in the US.

Thanks. Completely agree, but as you see starting with FF13 square decided to ruin that too.....Then again the box art is the last thing we should complain about with that game
