I have a dilemma. I have been using the disc swap method for the Saturn, I have been "properly" burning Saturn ISOs (with the correct region setting) but what's the point anymore if most of them don't even work?! I have burned already Panzer Dragoon, Astal, Clockwork Knight 1 and 2, Batman Forever, Albert Odyssey, Guardian Heroes, Darius Gaiden. The only one that works is Darius Gaiden with the same song repeating itself over and over throughout the game even after carefully renaming the CUE sheet.
I want to trade in my model 1 Saturn for a model 2 so I can buy a mod chip off Racket Boy (But I don't know now anymore...), I love this website and everyone here and you guys are really helpful. But I am also thinking that I should just give up on this ISO concept and just buy the games, but that's alot of money... Unless a miracle happens... And that's to find a trusted person online who has burned saturn ISOs from "original" Saturn discs. If any of you are willing to Sell a large bundle of working burned Saturn discs over ebay for me I will be up for that. Or if not then I might just have to give up on this wonderful system and move on to a Dreamcast, but I love the Saturn so much and it's just very disappointing and frustrating how most ISOs will not work properly.
There must be some working alternative, I don't want to give up so soon. Someone? Any advice?

Re: Sega Saturn, what's the point???
By the Way, I do test the ISOs on SSF emulator prior to burning them. Every game except Darius Gaiden freezes or crashes right after the intro screen. I figured this was an issue with SSF and went ahead and just burned these ISOs anyways, but it turns out that the same thing happens on my Saturn, thus is an issue with the ISOs.
Re: Sega Saturn, what's the point???
My best advice would be to get a Model 2 and mod it. Makes a world of difference.
Personally, I've never had much trouble with ISOs. Where do you get them? There are some places that have some corrupted ones, but Underground Gamer has been a reliable source for me...

I have been downloading the ISOs from CoolRoms.com and Sega-Saturn.us. Those are the only 2 places. I've been trying to sign up for Underground Gamer but it's constantly saying that their user database is full. I literally check everyday to see if I can sign up, but no luck, eventually I'm just going to stop checking. Unless i can get an invitation.

Coolroms is not the best of places to get your iso's. You should try here. Jay00, Check your inbox.

Re: Sega Saturn, what's the point???
Guys I just bought a Saturn Mod chip off Racket Boy, I'm so excited!!! Now I must purchase a Model 2... I am wondering if I can trade my MINT Model 1 for a Model 2 at my local Game store. This should be cool. Then I am going to focus on getting quality ISOs from Underground Gamer and SNES O rama. I'm still wondering about that whole 4x thing...
Re: Sega Saturn, what's the point???
For all the cost of the discs you wasted you could have probably bought the real games.
Ow! My small intestine!

You'd have to waste a LOT of discs to make up the cost of a game. What is it now, $20 for 100?

I was simply being sarcastic. The guy who started the thread is considering entirely giving up on the Saturn because he can't burn good discs. So, why not buy the REAL games and enjoy?MrPopo wrote:You'd have to waste a LOT of discs to make up the cost of a game. What is it now, $20 for 100?
