To me it's a little sad that people could take the jokes originally when they came out, but now we've become so butt hurt on most things that even the slightest thing offends people now a days(remember the story that just came out about the man in texas being told to take down the american flag because it "offended" the muslim community at the apartment complex). Heck we didn't even get the pokemon episode where you had the guy with a gun in a cowboy outfit(yet we had all the cowboy and indian stuff for the longest of times). Guess I'm just weird in thinking that people just let too much in movies and shows get to them now a days when it's something like this...
With regard to Looney Tunes, at least, the DVD and Blu-ray releases are uncut, uncensored, so it's more a matter of whether or not shorts are in a collection yet or not. Technically, there are very few that are outright "banned", and the complaints seem more to be with already-remastered shorts being put on new collections instead of never-before-included ones. (and that's likely a matter of expense more than anything else)

The edited versions are what had been shown on TV for decades, so practically speaking they're probably what a lot of people are familiar with anyway.
I don't know if dasparx is aware of how bad some of these cartoons can get.

Lets say that some one , some where, played a game in 2010 without paying for it. Is he no longer accused of piracy if he acquires a used copy of it in 2013?

What does he have to do, to make it right

Piracy is an unforgivable sin punishable by damnation to the deepest circle of hell, in the gaping maw of the beast itself. There can be no redemption.

That said: anyone down for a flashcart group buy???

Cold hard truth: They do not care. I say this as a staunch supporter of law enforcement, even before coming to work for 911. But they are simply way, way too busy with real problems to care about things like littering, people revving motorcycles, the average tailgater, etc etc.

Basically, unless the people doing those things are stupid enough to do it directly in front of the police, there's little to nothing that can be done about it anyway.

Just trying to save you the trouble. If I sound jaded, it's because I've been doing this too long  (The talking to the restaurant, that part might actually be useful)

And really, at the end of the day isn't this just proof that dogs are inferior to cats? You don't hear about cats chomping down on chicken bones strewn about a pizza place.

That's just because cats do it when people aren't looking.

If you're talking black face stuff then yeah that is kinda bad but it can't be as bad as some of the stuff that family guy pulls every once in awhile(I think some of the stuff they show there and on boondocks would make anything in looney tunes look like a saint even though looney tunes is 10x better than any of the crappy cartoons showed now since all they consider cartoons especially hero ones is comedy and there is none of the story based hero cartoons left really on tv). But you've got to admit guns, black face and everything can't be anywhere near as bad as some of the crap you can see in modern cartoons that are aimed at adults. Most of the edits I hear that came out of the looney tunes stuff and others just sounds like people that get upset over the littlest things now a days(which you didn't see happen as much apparently in the 60's from what I can tell from watching what i have of all the classic cartoons before they removed a good chunk of them from boomerang)

Intended audience is a big factor though. Context as well.

Some edits date back to those shorts being put on TV. There's an article linked here from 1983 complaining about it. It's absolutely nothing new. There's another one there from the 30s.

It's been released on a couple of DVD collections. (I assume you mean this one).
