I like it Mat. Simple, effective, and well labeled...That last part is the one most people forget to do.

What cab do you have?

Thanks. It's an early 80s Atari cab, probably Kangaroo originally. At some point it was JAMMA-tized and converted to Street Fighter II:WW which is still in there. The previous owner removed the 19" monitor and shoe-horned in a de-cased Sony PVM-2530.

Right now I've got an Atomiswave with Hakuto no Ken attached to the JAMMA harness that feeds video to the CMPTR input of the PVM. When the Dreamcast is hooked up I use composite output to the BNC input of the PVM.

Rock on. I plan on hacking up some PS1 controllers for my Astro and routing them through adapters to different controllers - I have some PS1 to DC, PS1 to Saturn, and PS1 to USB adapters already which is why I was planning on doing it this way.

Why are you using composite to BNC for the Dreamcast? Because it is readily available?

Yea, the composite/audio inputs on the PVM use BNC connectors so I just plug the Dreamcast composite/audio cable in with RCA-BNC adapters. Since the PVM has an internal audio amp I just attach external speakers for Dreamcast use. It's not pretty but this isn't really a "final" project. I'm just doing to see what it's like and maybe get an idea for a more permanent project in the future.

Which PVM do you have? Most accept RGB and some VGA. If yours supports RGB, you can get a Dreamcast to RGB SCART cable, then a SCART to BNC adapter. It will really make your games pop.

It's a PVM-2530; it has RGB but no VGA. I modded my DC for VGA output but haven't found any instructions on getting it to output 15.7 kHz RGB. I found some info about the DC being capable of two kinds of RGB but it didn't really describe exactly how to do it. IIRC it had something to do with grounding pins 6 or 7 or something like that. I should probably look into that further.
