Chrono Trigger help?

Post by Anayo »

I got up to the point in Chrono Trigger DS where I got the broken Masamune sword. However, I don't know what to do next. I spent maybe 30 minutes wandering around at random with no luck. Can anyone point me to where I need to go next?

Damn I just did that and I already forgot. I know you gatta go by frog's place in a forest hideout in 600AD at some point. I think you need melchior to fix the sword first though, after you find the other component for it.

Lucky for you, I just finished that part last night!

After you get the broken Masamune, near the forest were Frog lives there's a little village place, in one of the houses is the kid everyone is saying is the Hero, he gives you an item which you then take to Frog. He won't join you, but there's a little sparkly thing and if you check it you get the other half of Masamune. Go back to 1000 AD near the village full of fiends and go south, theres a small house, talk to some guy and he tells you to get a thing, then go to 65,000,000 BC and it's fairly obvious what to do from there! :)

The fiend village is on the eastern continent in 1000ad, and I think you have to have found the end of time first, so you can take a portal to someone's cabinet over there.

Thanks guys! I'm in the prehistoric times now and the Reptites have kidnapped the human villagers after that party. I appreciate the help.

BTW ss the DS version even worth it? Or am I better off just getting the SNES version?

It appears you don't own the SNES one so then yes, the DS one is worth it. However if you own the SNES version, the DS version is worth a DL~
 (FC, AVFC, NES, SFC x2, SNES, N64, GC x2, Wii x2)*(G&W x7, GB, GBpocket, GBASP, DS-L x2)
(GEN, SS x3, DC x3)*(PCE-Duo)*(Xbox:500GB)*(NGCDZ, NGPC)*(PS1, PStwo, PS3:160GB, PSP.3K)

My personal opinion is that the game feels more impressive as an SNES game than a $40 Nintendo DS one. However, they add a lot of stuff to the DS version, like touch screen control, anime cut scenes, plus it's portable, so if you're intent on playing a legit copy of Chrono Trigger the DS version is the way to go.
