Thank you. This is what I was trying to argue here with a forum member that phone games are now up there and they are competing with hand-helds from Nintendo and Sony. I forgot who or which thread though...Gunstar Green wrote:They're starting to come around, the only thing is you've got to wade through the mountains of advertising schlock to find the gems. The market is starting to grow a beard though and not just with indie developers. Check out Sega's offerings. Crazy Taxi is amazingly playable with touch controls and it's one of the best ports of the game I've played.Exhuminator wrote:Forever I thought Android games were poop. This weekend I was stuck at the inlaws so I gave the Google Play store another chance. Got kinda addicted to Delver. Found a lot more great stuff (Devil's Attorney, Pixel Dungeon, Deus Ex: The Fall...). Now I understand why less and less people are buying dedicated handhelds. I don't really blame them now, and that astounds me to admit it to myself.

I wish Sega would localize the new Yakuza. I don't understand why they don't. I know the market for it is extremely niche but there's still some money to be made.

I wish they'd localize the remakes and the historical piece Yakuza too. I doubt we're getting 5 either.

I ended up writing a letter to SEGA.Cronozilla wrote:I hear that.oxymoron wrote:I wish Sega would localize the new Yakuza. I don't understand why they don't. I know the market for it is extremely niche but there's still some money to be made.

EDIT: I never really payed much attention to 3D Dot Game Heroes as it looks and sounds like a Minecraft clone. I mean it's hard to believe no one at Atlus went "Wow, this looks like Minecraft at first glance." Anyways, I finally was bored enough to look into it and it looks really amazing. I'll be picking up a copy as soon as Amazon refunds my return.

Absolutely. There are really amazing games to be found on mobile these days, definitely stuff on par with dedicated hand helds. The only problem is the signal to noise ratio in finding those gems amongst the mountains of crap. I'm still looking of a great website that makes the narrowing down process a bit easier, but I haven't found such a site yet.RCBH928 wrote:This is what I was trying to argue here with a forum member that phone games are now up there and they are competing with hand-helds from Nintendo and Sony.
I wish SEGA would have localized the two Yakuza games that came to PSP.oxymoron wrote:I wish Sega would localize the new Yakuza. I don't understand why they don't. I know the market for it is extremely niche but there's still some money to be made.

What? 3D Dot Game Heroes doesn't look like Minecraft on first glance or any glance. Secondly, Minecraft's alpha came out in May 2009, and 3D Dot Game Heroes came out in November 2009. Not only was Minecraft not the crazy huge hit yet when 3D Dot came out, but even if you wanted to you cannot be that far into making 3D Dot and be able to further distance yourself from something and/or be influenced by it.oxymoron wrote:EDIT: I never really payed much attention to 3D Dot Game Heroes as it looks and sounds like a Minecraft clone.
