Noise and myself were talking about how simple the DS and Wii are, not the PSP. Nintendo, I believe, has dominated in the market because they've kept their products accessible to both casual and hard core gamers.

I feel sorry for anyone who doesn't know how to use a PSP yet. They're incredibly simple to use and fun as hell. Through the years I've noticed a rapid "dumbing down" of generations coming. Sure, children are more proficient with computers then their elders, but it just doesn't take work anymore to learn how to use programs and electronics. Everything has an easy button these days and though that is appealing to a broad audience, it does not move our understanding of these devices forward at all. I've used a DS and it is a fun system, but I've gotten much more fun out of the PSP in terms of what it can do to keep my attention overall. Yes I've modded mine, but I play PSP games, watch movies, listen to music, surf the web. All the standard options on a PSP.

I think if consumers were educated not just in games, but in technology more, then systems like the PS3 and PSP would be thriving. But alas, we live in a world where Idiocracy is quickly coming to pass and the most watched show will indeed be "Ow, My Balls!".
