As an American with no interest in competitive sports, my reaction to the World Cup:

Funny i'm interested in sports but know very little of soccer even though it's 10x more interesting than what we americans call "football". i'd rather call soccer it's true name everywhere which is technically football and that makes more sense....by the way is that a wii mote in the guys hand if you look in-between and behind them?

Real talk, futbol is boring as hell. There ain't jack for me to watch sports wise in the summer, since I only care about pro/college football and college basketball. Tis the dark ages.

Not to me, american football is boring as heck and I'm a southerner weird how all my family and friends basically love it, but I can't stand it. Basketball is alright from time to time but would still rather watch futbol or hockey.

Soccer is okay not great in my book. Think one of the main things that kills me when watching the game is the defense. I hate that the attacking team cannot have players past the last line of defense really sucks a lot of the excitement out of the game and makes scoring a real chore.
