It looks like something my daughters would enjoy and it seems to have favorable ratings. I was just curious what it was about.

How old are your daughters? It's not the simplest game in the world.

You grow and army of pikmin which you control in fights with bigger monsters. Lots of pikmin die, but they just sort of turn into little ghosts that float away. You can have up to 100 pikmin.

You make more pikmin by carrying back dead monsters and special pellets to your pikmins home, which then pops out more pikmin seeds. Different coloured pikmin have different abilities.

The first game has a 30 day time limit that is easy for an experience gamer, but for the less experienced gamer it could be pretty tricky. The 2nd has the hardest difficulty monsters. The third has more emphasis on multi-tasking.

It's a great series, but I wouldn't choose it as a game for a new game player to jump into.

Ha. Ok, thanks. A little different that what I was expecting. Sounds fun though! My daughters are 3 and 8.

They may not like it, but it sounds like something I'll have to try out.

It's pretty good. I realise I made it sound very combat focused there, but actually the mission in the first is to find all 30 of your ship pieces and put it back together before your air supply runs out. There's a lot of exploration and a decent amount of puzzle solving. There will still be a decent amount of combat though.

That is definitely one series I've been itching too try out. I'm half tempted to use my mk8 code to get the newest one(even though out of the ones on it here isn't part of the ones I don't care not to have physically) *sigh* ha ha

Pikmin unfortunately is one of those games I found extremely boring. I enjoy it for 2-3 game days and then just give up.

Snape kills dumbledore, clothing companies have been increasing the actual size of their M, L and XL clothes to make you not feel bad about getting fat en mass, and puppies taste delicious.

It's a good game, gameplay is quite unique. You basically go around gathering up Pikmin to help you complete objectives and fight enemies for you. The more Pikmin you have, the faster they work and the better they fight. It's fun.

I now have nearly every worthwhile US-released GameCube game in my possession, complete in box. Now to expand into the other regions! The next on my list are Doshin the Giant, Bleach GC, Kururin Squash, Homeland, and Giftpia. Soon, I hope to own every single decent-or-better game released for the cute little cube. Even after all this time, it's nice to retain my position as Racketboy Forums' resident GameCube fangirl. ^_^
