Anyone Collect or Still Listen to Vinyl?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

i'm gonna head out and try to grab a copy of the springsteen record, but there's not much else i give a hoot about this year.
this was the shittiest line-up of RSD releases since its inception, man.
Lol, not disagreeing there. There were only 2 that I might have cared about... I slept in

Was helping my mom with some stuff yesterday and happened to bump into a decent yard sale along the way. These little guys were $0.25 each so I couldn't pass them up.

Nah just thought they were interesting for $0.25. Nothing I am really seeking out. Have a few other read along records but none with the actual book so I thought these were cool especially since they were star wars related :).

Anyone ever end up with a bad DMM pressing? I just picked up a copy of Hub Cap by Freddie Hubbard and the brass section just sounds washed out. Very low in the mix and almost sounds like there's a ton of reverb on it. The bass and drums come through clear and consistent with the original record, making the poor sounding horns stand out even more.

I can't enjoy it. Any advice on playback? Maxing out the highs and completely cutting the lows on my EQ (only a 5 band) made a slight difference, but it still didn't sound right.

Usually ends up being from a bad mastering job or a defective pressing run. Not much you can do; usually with a bad pressing all the records from that run will sound the same.

I haven't listen to a vinyl in a while now. Just now felt like the perfect time to. I currently have on...

A while back I posted that I picked up those four Incubus albums. They were really nice re-releases. I've only listed to one of the albums since then, this is the second.
