Hate if you'd like...
Still getting my Cube on, but I'm so digging pop right now.
Dark Horse
Chandelier
All of Me
Sleeping with Friends
Girls chase Boys
One Less Problem
Tennis Court
Whatever that JT and MJ song is...
So Fancy
the list goes on...
I usually HATE pop music, but my friends listen to it (no flock mentality to this), and
not sure what to say other than my Saturday are spent with VH1 and spreadsheets, and the music isn't that bad. Still hate "Talk dirty to me", and no, when Juicy J says "You know who dis is" I have no clue who he is, but overall I think the pop scene has come a long way.
There are boy bands around, but the "artists" are pretty fun and creative. I actually, for the first time in years, like pop music. Sometimes it's creative, sometimes not, but overall I'm digging it.
And whoever (I could google it but I didn't) sings "One less problem" and I-GG-Y are 'bout to blooooooow. We now have a new J-Lo.

Teaching my wife how to duet on the piano, and it has been one of the funnest things I have done in my life. I repeat, one of the funnest things I have done in my life.
She's struggling with a four finger progressive chord, but she is getting there. Right now I'm I'm getting her to play "C, G, A, Bflat, C" in progression in equal notes" (hopefully that makes some sense to those in the musical crowd) and I follow both a with a planned and improvised melody.
What can I say? Not sure if she could make me any happier. We duet at lunch, and I'll leave it at that.

Listening to, The Lumineers, Mumford and Sons, The Moulettes... essentially a lot of the modern folk rock stuff. If you could just picture me slumped over a computer desk with headphones on and a bottle of whiskey, that reflects my mood perfectly today... long story. Glad I don't drink!

Epica's been around for about a decade, so there's plenty to dig into. They seem to be one of the few symphonic metal bands who manage to win over even people who aren't really into symphonic metal and they're pretty consistent. If you dig Simone Simons, she's done vocal work with some other bands too, most notably Kamelot. She's one of metal's top vocalists in my opinion.darsparx wrote:@gamerforlife - dang epic never heard of them before but that sounds amazing....at least they aren't as scremo sounding at eluveite. As long as it isn't metal where all they're doing is screaming then I can stand it

Somewhat related but the house I'm buying has some cassette tape shelves that I believe are built right into the wall of the basement. Maybe an excuse to start collecting cassettes? Current owner has a bunch of Slayer and Testament tapes - happened to notice during the home inspection.
