My son's buds all came over to see the wild bird we rescued. They were getting burned out playing Gamecube Smash Bros so I introduced GC Pacman Vs. I mentioned you use a GBA to see the whole maze as the person that is "it" as Pacman, when one friend asked what is a GBA?!! Dude these guys are 18, can't believe they did not know the older portable, guess the 3DS is the common unit everyone plays now. Anyways a lot of yelling in the other room, Pacman Vs is a hit! I have turned the boys to the Retro dark side!

I don't....I just don't understand this.....wtf has happened to America. When I lived there all Americans were proud of finding the best deal possible. I just can't comprehend why you guys let this bullshit pass by. And by you I don't mean racketboy members, I mean the general American public. And I'm guessing the difference between a new copy and a disk only copy is 5$?

At gamestop it doesn't matter which doesn't shock me....used disc only or not doesn't matter to gamestop prices(which boggles me because they could figure different prices for those that bring cart or disc only stuff to trade or buy)

I can assure you that most Americans are generally pretty apathetic about more or less everything.

Pretty much the only ones who care if it's disc only or cib(or should i say cic since it's stuff in a case) are almost every collector. Though it bugs me even more now that some of my games are loose and I'm going to have to remedy that within the next month or two...

I'd say people are generally just selective in what they put a priority on. Simple fact is that if Gamestop still went by their old standards of disc games being complete, not badly scratched, and so on, they'd have a smaller pool of potential trade-ins.
That's not their business model. Their ideal is repeat customers buying a game, and later, trading it in towards another game. Every person they let trade in questionable copies got store credit to buy something else.

New/used pricing varies. When you're talking fairly new releases, yeah, probably $5 or so. Older stuff, however, may have a greater discrepancy, or may simply not be available new anymore.

Here's a random thought: has anyone ever dreamt they found games they've lost? I had that kind of dream and it bugged the crap out of me because it was major games I knew I had at one point

I can't figure out what game I want to play next. I'm thinking I want another RPG since they usually lend themselves to being picked up, played for a bit, and put down for a while (which seems to be how I play lately) but I can't even decide on a system, let alone a game.
Gunning for a licensed NES NTSC-U set, follow the madness and poverty here!
Cheat sheet of my collection, always looking to increase it. 405/677 licensed games, 46/"95" unlicensed
