Snoop Dogg should open a chain of Vietnamese street food joints named "Pho Shizzle". That stuff would sell.

It really wouldn't surprise me if someone else had done that already. Years ago I was working a convention in California and a bunch of guys were there wearing shirts from a place called "What the Pho".

We have a What the Pho around here. What the Pho makes more sense then Pho Shizzle, because Pho is pronounced more like Fuh, then Foh.

Fresh pesto tonight! The basil crop is booming this year. Last night we had some awesome little pizzettes with gorgonzola, tomato and basil.

Dessert is strawberry shortcake. We... well I picked six quarts @ $1.70 a quart! Scrumptious!

fresh tuna steak is amazing Luke. Especially when seasoned well. And if you make it and turn it into tuna salad, it doesn't taste close to the shit you buy in a can.

I might be spoiled though living on a seaport, and having a father-in-law that works at a receiving dock.

All that said, tuna sushi is untouchable. Just amazing.

Made avgolemono for my dad (he's in town for the weekend). That dish is his specialty, and it was always a special treat growing up when he'd make it. We'd eat it for dinner for the next several days until it was all gone. Mine turned out amazingly; he said it was as good as his and had seconds without being asked.

When you said "Tuna steak" I thought you meant tuna cooked until it was grey. My bad, as "listening" isn't always easy on a forum.


Last night I cooked liver puddin', brie omelets, served with a fresh fruit blend.

I don't dig souse, but liver pudding, or as some call it liver mush/mash, is surprisingly awesome.

Some slather it with mustard, but some freshly ground pepper on top of it does it for me.

I believe it's basically liver mixed with a finely ground corn product, and some people eat it raw, but cooked to a crisp...delicious. But when I first moved to NC and someone asked me "Ya want some liver puddin'?" I took it literally and thought they were asking if I wanted pudding, made out of liver. And I love veal liver, but I thought about liver as a Jell-o product, which was really off putting.

But that stuff is delicious. If you've never tried it, you are missing out. It's not healthy, but if
you slice it and pan fry until crisp...you'll be hooked.

Great to hear, the Vegemite love needs to continue spreading. Out of interest, how do you buy it? I heard that it was banned in the states because they were worried about pregnant woman (?). I'm doubtful that's true though.

Actually, liver pudding is quite low in fat and high in protein. And absolutely delicious. Another great way to eat it is cold on toasted white bread with mayo (DUKE'S, although we've been down this road before), couple slices of fresh tomato, and black pepper.
