So Kotaku just put up a part of an interview with Miyamoto and Miyamoto posed a question to the readers, "What games would you like to see Nintendo make." The responses in the comment section was incredibly frustrating.

It seems everyone wants F-Zero, A Majora's Mask Re-release, Fire Emblem, a 2D Metroid and on and on and on.

"Hey everyone! We have this hardware that is trying to do some different things and it actually works, unlike some other competitors *COUGH*Kinect*COUGH* and what would you like to see utilize it?" And the response is literally, NOTHING!

This is why Nintendo is struggling is because people don't WANT to get what the system does. They are happy with a toe-the-line atmosphere that honestly hurts the gaming industry.

Nintendo has to make the games people want and what people want is Gamecube games.

Aside from the Majora's HD, you could do interesting things with the gamepad for all of those.

Yeah, fire emblem at least, could use the touch screen for the tactics ala a stylus. 2d metroid probably could use it for maps and items like some other games do(and they could probably find a decent way to make a better use of it than that). F-zero...come on mk8 style gameplay. Those are actually series that I know a lot of people love but nintendo doesn't give them much love lately...sure new IPs are great but don't neglect what got you where you are today

I don't feel that people want that though. They want the gamepad to have a map for metroid. They want a stats menu for fire emblem, they want a track map on f-zero. That isn't using it to its fullest potential. People have constantly stated that they want the pro controller so they don't have to use the pad and that is telling of what people expect from the system.

I don't need gamepad gimmicks. I just want to play games.

 You act as if anything that doesn't come with two thumbsticks, four buttons, two shoulder buttons and two triggers is a gimmick and that is again shortsighted thinking.

Well the pro controller does look and seem nice. Plus you probably have quite a few people who didn't upgrade to wii and probably didn't want the ds experience in a home console(since that is kinda the way it seems right now). If you came from the gamecube or earlier the pro controller starts to seem really nice....

Thats what I want it for. That and off tv play. Otherwise, I hate it when games force waggle or alternate control methods. Pointing and tilting my game controller around the room is annoying.

It could work so well for FE as a status screen, inventory menu, maps, etc while not breaking the action on the big screen.

ideally games that use the pad should use the pad in such a way that you couldn't simply just replace the functionality with a standard controller
