Meh, maybe. I kinda chalk this one up to Nintendo not having the presence of mind to develop unified profiles for players in advance more than anything else.

...of course, the fact that buying Megaman 3 on the 3DS doesn't automatically unlock it on my WiiU despite my having updated my profile to have the shared profile / wallet doesn't bolster my above argument much.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

At least the WiiU VC games don't cost full price if you already own them on the Wii. So it lets the gamers decide if a small upgrade fee is worth it. Granted not every Wii VC game is available for the WiiU.

This. Same for indie titles that are released on both platforms. With Sony consoles, you buy it on one you get it on all.

Although, annoyingly, that's not always the case... Otherwise, it's a great system and I wish Nintendo would implement it.

In other news, I just completed Super Mario 3D World :D

That's awesome. I'm at World Star but I now keep running into a nasty freezing issue that has become very common in this game and less common on other Win U games. With work I haven't sat down to fully figure out why this happens. It happen almost a dozen times in 3D World, twice in Arkham City and once in Mass Effect 3.

This is really odd. I had this happen once, in Nintendo Land, but that was literally a few days after buying it.

Since then it's never happened since, and I assumed whatever caused the issue was patched out.

I can't decide whether to get mk8 from walmart or gamestop. Both have it for 48 but walmart's is new and that'd guarantee the code hasn't been used(but no gs points *sigh*)

Yeah but gamestop isn't that bad when you get the b2g1 coupon(or even go there when that event is happening). Heck they're even decent when they're getting rid of certain systems games...

Unless they decide to, you know, throw them out.
