I was thinking the same thing. Bravo! That game is no joke.
It's amazing that the Japanese version is the easiest in the series and the NA version is probably the hardest.
Limited continues in a Ninja Gaiden game? What were they thinking?
Thanks everyone! Yeah there were a few times I was half tempted to throw in my Famicom cart of NG3 just because I was getting frustrated with the NA version. Persistence paid off though!
Playing through each game again really makes me wish they'd do a new 2D Ninja Gaiden. The second game has to be one of the best releases on the NES.
The second is my favorite too. Aside from the sometimes really odd area transitions it's a big improvement over the first game and the shadow clones are amazing.
No news to report today, although I see that Amazon is finally doing something about black consoles. Early September pre-orders are being shipped. Hang in there BSD and all you other people who wanted that color!

The first Ninja Gaiden for NES if my favorite game of All Time. The second one is great too, I just fell in love with the first one. IIRC it was the first game to use cinema scenes. And think about that for a second....almost every game nowadays uses cinema scenes. All thanks to Ninja Gaiden.

The first game holds many special memories for me! Ninja Gaiden was the first NES game my dad bought me! He woke me up on a Saturday morning and surprised me with it. My dad had just got his first bonus with his job and he bought a brand new Panasonic TV, wooden entertainment center and a copy of the game from K-Mart. I played the ever living crap out of that game and still have that copy my dad bought me back in 89.

Memories...
Ha! Yes, same here. I was getting it for my birthday that year (1989) and my parents were hiding it behind the bed. So everyday I would sit there and just stare at it and dream, lol.
I remember reading about it in Nintendo Power and they hyped it up. I was 11 at the time so you can imagine the affect a video game about ninjas would have on a 11 year old boy. My brother and a friend of mine would get our ninja plastic swords and create our own little ninja adventures.
Time of my life. Well, not counting the college years. Those were fun too but for different reasons of course, lol.
Game Sack's next video is going to be a review of the Retron 5. This will be the best and probably most fair review outside of Pat the NES Punk's video, so be sure to watch it Sunday afternoon/evening on YouTube when it is released (and I'm sure Joe will post the link in a new thread here).

I would've definitely paid the difference to have it shipped priority.
Media Mail? A Retron doesn't qualify for that method of shipping. It shouldn't have even been sent that way, the option should have never been available to pick.

Well tracking says it is 'Package Services' which is Media Mail. So, USPS doesn't know he shipped it that way. He sticks in a box, buys a media mail postage label and ships it...
