This is legit. Austin is not a cheap city to move to. I live down the road in San Antonio. Occasionally the wife and I think about moving to Austin but the thought never goes too far.AppleQueso wrote: moving stuff mainly... and some transition related expenses
The fact is that I have to start at the Austin store on July 15th and my original plan of getting a bank loan for moving expenses didn't work out. I want to move on July 1st so I'll have some time to get settled in town. (I have two weeks paid time off between Jul 1-15)
Honestly I'd rather not sell anything if I don't have to, but either way I have to find a way to pay for moving expenses really fast.
Here's a random gaming thought: So I'm playing Megaman X last night and I'm on the Chill Penguin stage, bemoaning the fact that the game practically forces you to play Chill Penguin first because without the Dash upgrade, you can't unlock the fun of the other stages.
I'm at the end of the stage where Sigma's curiously specific snowball throwing machines are throwing, well, snowballs. These snowballs turn into the huge snow boulders that crash into you as you climb the snowy hills....
...except they don't. I kept trying to get one of the snow ball throwing machines to throw a ball at me on a line that would hit a snow drift so that I could see if the game would actually animate the snowball getting larger and larger. But I could never do it. The snow ball throwing machines almost seem incapable of throwing a project on that line!
I feel like the last 21 years of my life are a lie.
