That's how I feel about it. I'm just happy to be getting them at all.

Is anyone playing Dead Nation on Vita? I got it through cross-buy because I bought the PS3 version back when I had a PS3. Unfortunately it isn't cross-play too so co-op is limited to the Vita ecosystem.

Got it with the PS+ perk, not the same as on the PS3 though, the analog controls doesn't feel very accurate.

I`m not saying Sony`s done with this thing, but Sony`s done with this thing.

:(. It's a shame, both of their portables were really good but Sony abandoned them. And if the Vita isn't selling well, PSP sold 70 fucking million units, almost as much as the PS3 which they put all their weight behind (for obvious reasons). Still think there's room for a second handheld if it had been done right.

The problem for Sony was that the PSP really only caught on in Japan, and in Japan it caught on like crazy (which is why there's such high overall sales). It sold more units in Japan than it did in the US, and the US is where the money is (not to mention a much larger potential install base). And the most popular PSP games caught on for reasons that don't really apply to the US (either quirky Japanese games or games based around ad-hoc multiplayer).

What a freakin' shame. It's an amazing device and had so much untapped potential.

...They couldn't even be bothered to update the firmware so I could use face/shoulder buttons to interact with the music player while the screen was off :?

I'd guess that it still has life in it, despite that statement. I wouldn't be shocked to see a Vita/PS4 bundle by next Xmas (2015) for around $400 or $450, which if it sells well may keep it keeping on or even give it a resurgence.

As I said probably a year ago, if there were no more games ever released for the Vita I'd still be happy with its library. I imagine it will continue to get niche indie and Japanese stuff for the foreseeable future...
