Shantae and some busy weekends really stalled my momentum, and I'm also playing the four job fiesta right now too.

I fully intend to sit down and play more Shnatae and start Bangai O this weekend. The weekend after I'm away again though

My intention is still to try and have 7 done by the end of this month, but I'll be cutting it close I think.

Taking a break from Other M right now, though I will say it is fun. Some bullshitty parts, of course, but overall it isn't terrible.

In his heart of hearts, he knows it's destined to be a classic. Honestly, the controls are the biggest issue, especially aiming your weapon. I imagine it's only going to get worse as the game goes on and the difficulty continues to spike...

Wait, he's playing Other M? Must have missed that. Definitely not a classic. Get that shit outta here.

But what if it becomes an accepted classic five years down the road? Does it retro-actively qualify then? Actually, I don't think there are too many Metroid games that aren't classics, except maybe that pinball one.

Well I think I've officially made it through lvl 1 and 3(I have to look at the map again when I play because I keep finding every dungeon but 2 on my own). Currently working on 4 and have over half the max hearts here. Along with the raft, blue ring, white sword, and blue candle. As soon as I finish watching green lantern(took a break to sleep) I'm going to try and at least beat up to level 6 tonight if I can help it...if not more. I don't know why but some areas just start to look really suspicious and make me want to bomb it even if not as obvious that, that's what i should do like in the newer games

Other M at best could fall into an "instant classic" category (like Uncharted 2 or some such), which I also don't like approving for the challenge. However, Metroid M isn't even a good candidate for this as the game was widely panned...and I'm pretty sure consensus is that it is the worst Metroid game ever made.

According to Wiki:

Other M has met with polarizing reviews. Though it received an aggregate score of 79% on both GameRankings and Metacritic, with much praise to its gameplay, graphics and overall atmosphere, significant criticism was raised towards its plot, dialogue, and cutscene length, with Samus' characterization in the game considered a negative deviation from the series' norm. Other M received an Editors' Choice Award and the award for "Coolest Atmosphere" of 2010 from IGN, was nominated for Best Wii Game of the 2010 by GameTrailers and picked by Wired as one of the best games of the year, but was also chosen as one of the worst games of the year by Entertainment Weekly and Attack of the Show!, and as the third "Biggest Disappointment of 2010" by Game Informer. It was the third best-selling video game in Japan during its week of release, and it was the ninth best-selling game in North America during September 2010. The long-term sales numbers were considered disappointing by Nintendo, however, as the game sold a half a million copies in North America by November 2010.

Sounds to me like it's a love it or hate it type of game. Regardless, there's no way I would suggest it's the worst in the series - it actually is fun. I think it might be something you just have to play for yourself to accurately judge.
