you can buy an adapter that lets you use a PS2 controller on the Dreamcast, haha I actually use an adapter that lets me use an xbox controller on the Ps2 then I connect it to that adapter so I can use an Xbox controller on the dreamcast. IMO the Xbox controller is the perfection of the Dreamcast controller.RyaNtheSlayA wrote:Maybe I have been too harsh on the Dreamcast.
The controller still sucks.
I kinda like the system a whole lot more than I used to though.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
In all honesty, I've never really seen the appeal of the system either, though that's mostly because the library seems quite mediocre to me (not a fan of fighters, and with almost no RPGs). There are a few good games, but not much else for me.RyaNtheSlayA wrote:Maybe I have been too harsh on the Dreamcast.

If only they didn't put the cord at the bottom. I love the triggers. I always will love the triggers.RyaNtheSlayA wrote:Maybe I have been too harsh on the Dreamcast.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
There are two big issues I have with the pad, and the controller coming out of the bottom isn't even one of them (although it is dumb).
Functionally, not including 6 face buttons or 4 shoulder buttons was a huge mistake. Getting by with 1 analog stick is mostly fine but there simply isn't enough buttons for the era it was in. The face buttons are also tiny but not close enough together to be real comfortable for me.
Most of all though, the controller is a massive waste of space. The amount of surface area on the front is huge but the handles are tiny and thin. My long fingers cramp up after about an hour of frantic Daytona USA.

That is by far the most annoying thing about the controller. It's almost as retarded as daisy-chaining controllers for the 3DO.ExedExes wrote:If only they didn't put the cord at the bottom. The Master System was pretty terrible too; the original controller has the cord come out the right side.FerretGamer wrote:That is by far the most annoying thing about the controller. Famicoms did that too.
Can we all take a minute to appreciate how terrible 5200 controllers are, while we're on this rant?
