Is it wrong that of my action figures, Howard the Duck is the one that entertains me the most to own?

If it is wrong, wrong is the way to be.

NEWS!

Dudes, please check out IDW's MONSTER MOTORS.

You don't like it, I'll pay you back for the infinity amount of copies you totally bought.

Check it: http://boards.idwpublishing.com/3/viewt ... =2&t=16304

Lynch, the writer of the series, is a super great guy, friends with Nathan Barnatt/Keith Apicary, and has done some amazing stuff from Angel/Buffy/Spike, to co-creating TMNT characters, His writing is sharp as a tack, funny as you can get (he "punches" scripts for fun) and is 100% a genuinely super guy. If you spoke with the guy for ten seconds you'd love him. He's just that nice.

So pre-order his new book and share your opinions on how great it is (again, I can guarantee almost anyone on Earth will love it).

My most recent comic reading has been the relaunch of THOR (when IRON MAN the movie launched) so I am wayyy out of the loop. But that isn't always a bad thing.

I read The Amazing Spider-Man #24 and was pleasantly surprised at how little action there was. Spidey stops a burglary, but that's about it. The plot of the issue is about Mysterio playing mind tricks on Spider-Man in an attempt to convince him he is going made. He then impersonates a psychiatrist that Spider-Man can confide in in an attempt to reveal his identity. Of course he fails, but the one who comes to Spidey's aid was neat. I'm not sure if anyone would care if I say who it is as it's a Silver Age comic, so I'll put the name in a spoiler.
J. Jonah Jameson rushes in and exposes "Dr. Rinehart" as an imposter right before webhead reveals his identity.

Feeling pretty giddy after recently getting a copy of Detective Comics # 27 (the New 52 75th anniversary issue of course) with the Jim Lee variant cover signed by Scott Snyder and Jim Lee himself. And it's a 9.8 CGC Signature Series too :)

Speaking of that issue, I only just read it recently (not my signed copy of course) as I've been really behind on my Batman reading, and I really dug Snyder's short story that was basically like a Doctor Who take on the character.

I hope this isn't too improper, but can someone here send me an invite to ComicBT? I looked at the sign up process and saw that I couldn't do it as the two private trackers (Demonoid and Underground Gamer) I've seeded the most have shut down. I'm trying to get scans of the first two volumes of the What If? trades. I found scans of the original comics, but they don't look as good as the trades I have.

Where are some good places to buy comics online? I'm really new to comics. Midtown/MyComicShop seem to have the best prices but the worst reviews in terms on shipping quality. People said the comics come all bent. How is Tfaw.com?

I haven't bought from them in years, but I had a good experience with Mile High Comics.

TFAW.com is fine. It's a local chain here. (just like Midtown is local to NYC)

I've never had any damaged comics come from them ... unless I bought them during their ridiculously cheap nick and dent sale. Amazing discounts, and usually, you can't actually tell whats wrong with it.

Really? I was looking around for reviews of Midtown and most said the their packing was shoddy and often come bent. Mind you I live in California so those comics will make a cross-country trip. I think'll I'll make make a small purchase and see how it goes.

Everything I said was me talking about Things From Another World.

But, I have also ordered from Midtown before, and had no problems. I live in Oregon. So, it's coming just as far to me.

Though it's been awhile. I would imagine they're pretty good about packing, they grade their comic book condition, afterall.
