I watched some Microsoft stuff on Spike TV and literally fell asleep. I love the oXbox and 360 but "the One" looks like a dud so far.

You mean a game that will be available on consoles I already own?

But yeah, I'll be picking that one up.

But wont look as good and will have framerate issues? I am getting it on PC regardless, but the trailer was in the MS conference so that entertained.

Glad someone said it  Just out of curiosity, how many old IPs were shown by Sony? It seemed like quite a few to me.

Do you feel that game design hinges on a new mascot and a paint job?

I think the big three pressers were largely void of any interesting or new game design.

Constant and utter pessimism, I'm sorry you forgot what fun was. It must be boring to never get excited about anything.

I didn't really watch anything, but this E3 was miles better than last year. Good stuff.

Nintendo really showed the most pertinent stuff for me.

Microsoft:
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare - No thanks. Also, PC.
Forza Horizon 2 - I kinda like these games. And it is out this year.
Evolve - Looks awesome ... PC
Assassin's Creed: Unity - PC
Dragon Age Inquisition - I don't really care, and PC
Sunset Overdrive - I want to like this game, because I like Insomniac ... but it comes across as just some sort of Insomniac cover-song. This year!
Super Ultra Dead Rising 3 Arcade Remix Hyper Edition EX + α - Hilarious. Is it coming to PC with DR3 this July?? Maybe.
Fantasia: Music Evolve - I will only care if I can rhythm game to the DuckTales theme song.
Dance Central the who cares edition - Don't care.
Fable Legends - Don't care. No release date.
Project Spark and this time with abused mascot - Don't care.
Ori and the Blind Forest - Best Game Microsoft showed. 2015.
Halo the pay me more money edition - who cares coming this fall.
Inside - Really annoyed that this is exclusive. 2015
Rise of the Tomb Raider - PC ... Also, Terrible name.
The Witcher 3 - AWESOME. PC. 2015.
Phantom Dust - Phantom What? 2015
The Division - If real, will buy for PC. 2015
Scalebound - Pretty trailer. See you next E3.
Crackdown - Next ... year? Requires Live servers for Cloud computations. No thanks.
ID@XBOX - Lots of neat looking indie games. Not entirely sure how many are exclusive to One.
Ultimately, I don't care about Xbox One, like the previous two systems I'll find one used for $20 with games for $3, eventually. There's nothing there that I'd just be torn up over if I couldn't get to play it at some point. I just don't care.

A lot is out this year ... but quite a bit is just trailer teases and 2015 dates.
11 Microsoft published games. Four for this year.

Sony:
Grim Fandango - Very cool ... when? (I don't like that this is PS only)
Far Cry 4 - Looks great ... PC.
LittleBigPlanet 3 - Don't care. Buying it for $10 in a few years.
Destiny - Don't care.
Rainbow Six: Siege - I hope that's legitimate gameplay footage ... PC
Assassin's Creed: Unity - Looks better than AC has looked in awhile ... PC.
The Order 1886 - E3 changed my mind about this game. It looks pretty good ... 2015
Entwined - Looks interesting, out now.
Let It Die - A trailer. See you at E3 2015!
Dead Island 2 - Just a trailer for a sequel to an awful game. Also, 2015.
Bloodborne - Just a trailer (gameplay at booth) ... 2015.
Abzu - This looks great ... Not even a year.
Battlefield: Hardline - Looks alright ... PC
No Man's Sky - Looks AMAZING .. PC
The Last of Us Remastered - Will be interesting. Re-release.
MGS5 - Looks incredible ... 2015
GTA5 Super Duper Enhanced Edition ... PC
Batman Arkham Knight ... PC
Uncharted 4 - YES! 2015 ... ?
There's only 5 Sony published titles that were shown, one is a re-release. One is out this year.

Nintendo:
Amiibo - Looks like a new standard for videogame NFC toys. Kind of a big deal.
Mario Party 10 - Never been huge on them. But I'd try it. 2015
Smash Bros. Updates - Awesome. This year.
Yoshi's Wooly World - I want it. 2015.
Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker - If it's at least as fun as the Captain Toad levels in SM3DW, I'm sold. This year!
Zelda Wii U - Looks incredible. 2015.
Pokemon Remakes - Not my thing, really. This year.
Bayonetta 2 - It has Bayonetta 1 with Nintendo stuff. This year.
Hyrule Warriors Update - I didn't care before, but after seeing it look much more polished and varied than Dynasty Warriors titles. I'm liking it. This year!
Kirby and the Rainbow Curse - Nintendo doesn't like me having money. 2015
Xenoblade Chronicles X - Very good. 2015.
Mario Maker - I wasn't thrilled at first, but it's playing off Mario Paint. If it's more robust than what they showed, I'd be very interested. 2015.
Splatoon - Very interesting. 2015.
Fantasy Life - New Harvest Moon spinoff stuff. This year!
Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright - YES! This year!
Slurge of eShop games - Some are exclusive, some aren't, most look great.
Pokemon Art Academy - Paint me curious. This year.
Codename: Steam - I'm very curious. I saw a lot to make the tactics RPG more action feeling. 2015.
Sixteen titles published by Nintendo (the most from any publisher at the show! Not counting any of those indie reels) 8 come out this year.

Nothing Nintendo talked about seemed to be beyond Summer 2015 either. I would imagine Zelda is a winter 2015 game. But, Mario Maker is confirmed for February, or there about. Mario Party's usually release in spring. and Yoshi will likely release in late spring or early summer. Xenoblade is likely fall. Kirby, I have no idea.

But I don't think E3 2016 will roll around and these titles will not have been released.

I actually cared about the titles Nintendo showed. They all looked, at least a little, interesting. I would say I cared about Mario Party 10 the least. And they didn't even show that in the digital event.

In terms of ... most anticipated game for the future, that's No Man's Sky for me. But who had the best showing at E3? I'm at an age where I'm not going to spend four years being optimistic about pining over a game. When the rumor that Last Guardian came out, part of me was like, "good". Because, I want it to either come out, or go away. I don't want to hear teases about a game that will be out a year before the next generation begins. (Or beyond!)

You show me games that are this year, or next year. And that's it. Unless you're launching hardware and you really need to sell it that you'll have stuff coming in the first couple years, you shouldn't be teasing that far out. I think even announcement trailers are going too far now if it isn't from some impossible to ignore demand.

At this point in time, I'm also somewhat jaded with announcement trailers coming out a year before gameplay reveal trailers ... which come out a year before gameplay demos and MAYBE the game comes out that third year. I think games should be shown at like ... 2 E3's max. Reveal with gameplay demo, next year another demo, and it releases.

I feel like that's what Nintendo showed me. They showed me a bunch of stuff I'd find interesting, and it's all got some sort of date attached to it. While No Man's Sky and Uncharted 4 will be incredible, I'm sure ... I don't know when they're coming. Not to mention, Zelda and Xenoblade kinda look incredible too.

And that's without mentioning their "hey this is what we're thinking" gameplay demos. Those'll probably have releases before a lot of the stuff Sony showed. And currently, they're prototypes.

EA showed actual pre-alpha game prototypes because they didn't have enough to talk about. I just felt that I needed to mention that.
