Bloodbourne's was a nice touch but I wanted to see some play through of that and a few others(at least we got batman, which reminds me once I get a chance I need to take a wack at arkham asylum since I do own that one, and all these modern superhero games have been a key interest of mine to play once I got a chance...). Maybe next year everyone else will learn to add gameplay to their trailers...
There was gameplay of Bloodbourne shown at E3, just not at the big conference. Pretty much looked like Demon Souls.

Ehh still I was just more impressed that nintendo had more gameplay and all the games they're putting out look good to me...especially because if I had yarn kirby I'd probably enjoy it unlike others(I tend to enjoy what's apparently considered crap since I keep running into that here, and ign and other sites when I look up the ratings for some things i own >_>)

Kirby's Epic Yarn is only like 5 dollars, you should go get it. It's not a terrible game, but I didn't really "get it", kinda felt like I was floating around doing nothing - you can't die in it. The aesthetics are cool, which I think is likely the main selling points of those games.

Exclusives are overrated though, it's really strange how people who follow games kinda put 3rd party stuff into limbo as if they are non canon. There are a lot of multiplat games that looked better than all of the Nintendo games, it might be one thing if they were coming to Wii-U, but they're not.

Although I agree with you that Sony did have a very strong presence and created a lot of, Wow moments, I don't totally agree with you on the exclusives argument. When we talk about 3rd Party vs. 1st Party, you are right when saying that a good game is a good game regardless of who makes it. The issue here though is in the exclusivity of a title. Why I feel Nintendo did better than Sony lies heavily in the exclusivity of it.

The game that wowed me the most came from the sony press conference, No Man's Sky. The thing is, that game is also coming to PC, as is the Witcher and Far Cry and Destiny and on and on and on. For me, that is a viable option for me on the PC platform and will definitely be a higher priority for me on that platform. With Nintendo's showing, those titles are exclusive and some for good reason, using the game pad in cool and unique ways an experience I can't honestly get on my PC.

Now, I am not saying that cross-platform titles are junk and to be disregarded. A lot of people pick one or two platforms to support and for them that makes it more interesting. If you have chosen to invest your money on the Playstation platform, then of course those cross-platform titles will be more exciting, because the PC and Xbox are not an option for you. My choice was to stick with the PC and Wii U as I feel I can get the most bang for my buck. Maybe later in the PS4's life, when it has a larger library and a smaller price tag, I may invest in it.

Kirby's Epic Yarn is a great game. It's easy but it's so charming. Better than Kirby's Adventure Wii or whatever it's called in the US.

Splatoon looks awesome. So nice to see a shooter without "gritty" space marine or military elements. Love the colors.

Code Name: STEAM looks brilliant though I hate those blocky Westernized graphics.

+ two Zelda games, Bayonetta 2, Yoshi, Kirby, and Xenoblade.

The biggest disappointment for me was the Vita. Wish there were more games coming out.

Kirby Return to Dream Land?

RtDL was basically everything I'd ever wanted from a new console Kirby game and was the best game in the franchise since Super Star.

If a console that is being compared doesn't have the multiplat game, it is more or less an exclusive. If someone only has a Wii, then a game like Dark Souls is just as exclusive as a game like Uncharted from that person's perspective.

I think it is a timed exclusive.

Not everyone has gaming PC's.

Though another reason why this barely matters to me is because I can pirate Nintendo's stuff easily. I mean it took what, 3 years into the Wii's life span before you were able to play its entire library on a PC without hiccups? To this day you still can't play PS3 exclusives on PC to my knowledge. So there really isn't much of a difference, PC makes everything obsolete to an extent.

Perhaps, but it's not like Sony has ever been short on exclusives. Also, Sony does give you a much better bang for your buck compared to Nintendo even if there is redundancy with 3rd party games. I just got PSN+ maybe 6 months ago, and it's unbelievable how many games I have "for free" (both exclusive and multiplat). I never would have played games like Bioshock, Arkham City, Xcom, , Tombraider - and I've only had PSN+ for a few months at the end of the PS3's life cycle, imagine if I had gotten it years back? It's awesome value for the consumer. Meanwhile a lot of Wii games are still going for very high prices both on market and in retail (though retail price has finally come down). When it comes to selling games online, the Wii-U might have even taken a step backward, it's strange how small its library is, not to mention the deals aren't that great.

PSN+ is a great deal (not to mention it also works for PSVita, PSP and PS3), it's probably the best service you can get behind STEAM, and it's way ahead of what Microsoft and Nintendo offers. Then they have this whole Playstation TV thing (which I thought was a very cool announcement at E3, you can play Vita and PS3 games without owning either console) and that thing where they're streaming a big library on cloudservice. I think is very cost efficient.

Retrogaming forum thinks company that showed 90% old IPs on aging hardware had the best E3 showing. News @11.
