It doesn't take much data to pretty much say, load pokemon A with LVL B and moves CDEF.darsparx wrote:That would be amazing...of course I wonder if those things could store that much data....ZeroAX wrote:But another good idea would be a Pokeball or heck even any random pokemon amiibo, being able to store data for 6 pokemon, and you could take it to a friend's house and battle pokemon on the Wii U version of Pokemon Stadium.

With the Pokemon games having 3D battles and online multiplayer is there even much of a point to a new Stadium game? Now if they want to make a mainline style game in HD then that's another story...ZeroAX wrote:I just thought of the most evil use of Amiibos. Getting Mew, Celebii and all the other event Pokemon. Want to catch them all? Pay 5€ for a Mew figure and get him in game(one use per figure).

Yes, 3 reasons:CavZee wrote: With the Pokemon games having 3D battles and online multiplayer is there even much of a point to a new Stadium game? Now if they want to make a mainline style game in HD then that's another story...
- 1)HD graphics and amazing battle animations
- 2)Local multiplayer fun. competition between friends
- 3)Profit (people would still buy it)

So is Splatoon a local multiplayer or online multiplayer game?
Of course we didn't mention the freemium games that I heard makes a ton of cash even if it is free at first.
As for the oatmeal comic, I do agree. But its because thats what people have been made to expect. When people first went to Starbucks and they heard Coffee was $10, they thought ok and paid. If you made that coffee $2, no one would buy it for $10. I personally feel $60 is a huge amount for a console game(some like Skyrim are worth more than $60), but many are paying that happily for 5-15hr games. Why is it $60? because the publishers decided to sell it at that price and people just went along with it.
If Apple tries to teach people that its ok to pay $20-40 per app, then we don't have an issue.
Maybe the Megaman X is horrible but they can if they wanted to make a good Megaman man using touch controls. The point that I am trying to make is that the hardware is there, the consumers are there, its just up to the publishers to take it seriously. Infinity Blade is a great example of an action game that uses touch controls, The Room is another that uses touch control as a "point and click" genre.ZeroAX wrote: All of those are established franchises selling apps based on brand alone. Like the HORRIBLE Megaman X game, or the Sonic ports (which are unplayable do to touch screen controls).
I think this very popular comic shows the reality of things:

Not sure how the quick travel stuff would work without the touch screenZiggy587 wrote:I hope it's both.

Megaman Zero is coming to VC, awesome! I figure the rest shall follow.
Why oh why would Nintendo release the GBA version of Yoshi's Island though? Worse sound effects, the awful Yoshi's Story noises, less buttons to utilize, etc? Weird...
