What was the last movie you've seen?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

I may be wrong but you may want to get that checked out

Luke has some nice connections and occasionally gets some pre-release screenings of movies like that. They're sent out designed to deliberately destory themselves like that to try and prevent leaks.

300 The Sequel

I liked this better than the original, but when are they going to stop doing this ridiculous 3D slo-mo? At least have the decency to offer an alternative version
You mean....you don't like a slow-mo swing with sped up impact!? but...but...but....IT'S EXTREMEEEEEEEE MOUNTAINDEW SKYDIVING IFLETOWERBANGING AWESOME!!!!!
Damn straight I don't like it! If your flick has to have 3D at least do it properly. Edge of Tomorrow did 3D right. Dredd also suffered from that slo-mo nonsense, but iirc they tried to justify it by referencing a drug or something.

last night was Friday the 13th. So we watched Friday the 13th. Which takes place in June. And on a full moon. Last night was a full moon. And Friday the 13th won't fall on a full moon again until 2049.

I missed out. :( I'll mark my calendar for 2049. I may or may not still be around.

I really really really wish they had stopped before the last like 5 minutes of the movie though
the part where they have the mobile helicopter full of like 8013509172350897 kabillion medbeds. If there were enough of them to heal everyone, then the rich were just being dicks, which is not in any way alluded to in the movie. In the movie it's pretty clearly black and white "We have xxx amount of resources, we choose to keep them for ourselves." That mobile helicopter really makes it seem to me and the guys I saw it with instead to be "We have infinite resources and keep them for ourselves because fuck you that's why" which is not the vibe the rest of the movie gave off!
Like... it kinda defeats the purpose in my mind. There were plot holes I could drive my car through that the group of us who saw it all discussed after the movie (don't ask me to identify them, it as a long time ago and I've since forgotten), but in my mind if you don't go "Wait..what?!?" while you're actually watching the movie, it's completely excusable and doesn't ruin the experience. That last final bit of it? That was completely broken in my mind, all 3 of us that saw it at once were all like "Oh COME on!" while we were still in the theatre.

Overall though, I enjoyed the movie.
Gunning for a licensed NES NTSC-U set, follow the madness and poverty here!
Cheat sheet of my collection, always looking to increase it. 405/677 licensed games, 46/"95" unlicensed
Chronically out of date BST thread

I didn't know they made so much money of dvds. I guess thats why torrent-ers don't feel so much guilt pirating
