Frankly you can't blame SQEX. The PS4 install base will probably be around twice the Vita's when Type-O comes out, and so it makes a lot of sense to put it there first. I'd not rule out a later Vita port, but I don't understand all the nerd rage over their decision...

Type-0 is meant to be a portable game on a portable platform. Perhaps some of us want it to be what it was meant to be. I think us Vita owners are the new Dreamcast owners, if you know what I mean. We love our little piece of kit and want to see it fly high... but we weep in private as it slowly crumbles to ashes with no phoenix in sight.

What do you mean "meant to be"? I have a Vita and adore it. I also have a PS4, which is hurting for RPGs. It'll be very welcome there.

yeah but the vita is also hurting for new rpgs. Most of what it has got so far has been ports/remakes to some extent. Honestly they should make it a cross buy or at least a separate version for vita since it was originally a portable title...

Good move by SquareEnix and Sony to send it where it is needed and may move hardware and software both.

I want to clarify that it doesn't bother me at all for the game to come to PS4, that's cool, good even. It just bothers me that SQEX chose to leapfrog from PSP to PS4 and just skip the middle man Vita altogether. If I were SQEX I would put the game out for both platforms and make more money that way. Even if it was just a digital release on Vita, it's still relatively easy money to make.
Also, how many people bought their bad ass PS4 to play gussied up PSP RPGs? If I owned a PS4 I wouldn't be excited about that aspect.
