The ones I bought had pictures and they were quite deceiving.Exhuminator wrote:I buy and sell on eBay fairly often. When it comes to buying games, I have some very simple rules that result in auctions I'm always happy with:
1. If I don't see photos of the actual game in the auction, I don't buy it.
2. The seller must have a high amount of positive feedback as a seller. Bother to read what other people say about this seller in their feedback profile.
3. Know where the seller is selling the item from. (For example, I live in the USA so I always make sure the seller is selling the item from the USA.)
Those three simple rules have ended up with eBay auctions I'm very happy with for the past few years.

Well that's just rule number 1. Did the sellers have hundreds of positive feedback ratings proclaiming they were excellent sellers? If so, you can blame other buyers for having lower standards than your own, I suppose.JC48573 wrote:The ones I bought had pictures and they were quite deceiving.

Yes, hundreds with a few negatives, but who doesn't nowadays?Exhuminator wrote:Well that's just rule number 1. Idunno, I regularly start a search with price+shipping lowest first, and I've had lots of sellers message me to inform me of found defects while packing or other problems. I've been offered refunds or discounts - one guy even insisted on a full refund minus shipping because he accidentally sent the scratched disc instead of the NM (plays fine). My negative experiences are less than 5% - they were mostly "too good to be true" buys that of course were.
