He has the right to sell. Just like any of us have sold something when we were in a pinch. People sell things every day, big deal. He all ready achieved the world record, what else is there to do? Sell it and enjoy the money.
You only live once, and you can't play those games when your dead. You could however, use the money to enjoy life, or use the money to start a fund for your family, etc.

Semi-random thought:
In an quantity over quality experiment,
Someone should try for a largest sport game collection, just for the heck of it. Think of how much you could acquire with relatively little.

I mean, not actively and there are always space limitations.
I focused (past tense!) on nba, wrestling and others of interest.
But yes, unless you're lumping stadium events in there - it would be relatively affordable - although not much upside in worth.
I saw a guy sell all the maddens one time - the PC c64 boxes were worth the most, outside the championship edition from 93 sega.

I knew Stadium Events would be brought up. And then there's that Gamecube basketball game (I forget what one).
Obviously not counting golden geese like that (and why I wouldn't recommend a "complete" collection).
Heck, I wouldn't even expect to have a boxed collection (for cart games anyways), just a cheap barebones representation.
It would be just be interesting to possess a comprehensive evolution of sports videogames. It actually wouldn't be a common sight, given that most retro collector's avoid sports games.

I know we're OT here, but I never got that. The evolution of sports video games is fascinating. Heck, the evolution of the Madden series alone tells a pretty amazing story about the medium.

Would games like Shaq Fu count as a sports game?
