I think a lot of people are upset that Type-0 isn't coming to the Vita. I highly doubt a port to the Vita would require much effort. At least there is the fan translation of the original PSP release for those that want it portable.

Seriously. Was it not more work to port PS2 games to Vita, then it would be to convert a PSP game?

It also doesn't help that the Playstation blog goofed and announced it was coming to Vita and then corrected it.

You'd have to imagine updating a PSP to the Vita wouldn't be that hard. The Vita is also a pretty healthy platform in Japan so you'd think they'd throw it a bone but I guess they're going for the largest global audience, hence the release on XB1 as well. TBH though, even if Vita was a choice I'd probably still lean towards a console release myself.

Please don't bring up the DQ pain anymore.

Yeah Type-0 being remade for home consoles seems odd... Oh well.

Wikipedia says it's related to FF XIII and XV which caused my interest in the game to plummet. I was hoping it was one of those "old school" spin-offs like the 4 Heroes of Light. I may still get the PSP original.

As for Falcom, I've heard rumors that another Ys V remake is in the works. If we get that + Ys 8 on Vita I'll be thrilled. I doubt we'll see another Legend of Heroes game localized unfortunately, I guess TitS didn't live up to the company's expectations in the West (in terms of sales).

XSEED has confirmed they plan to release TITS: Second Chapter on both PSP and PC this year:

But what I'm really excited about from XSEED this year, is that they plan to release Brandish: The Dark Revenant on PSP!
Check out some gameplay:

Man I'm all over that when it comes out.

Unfortunately, XSEED has been very hit or miss with physical releases. :( They localize some fantastic games but I wish they could figure out some way to do limited print runs for us fans of physical releases.

Well, they're managing to get a physical release for Shinovi Versus. That's a start.

And the upcoming PSP releases being digital only are understandable because well, it's 2014.

But...but....I can't sit the digital versions next to my physical versions. Shoving the PSP in there next to them just isn't the same.

And many of us got a physical copies of Class of Heroes 2 last year, so :P
