Borderlands: The Pre-sequel Thread
New trailer and release date: http://www.destructoid.com/borderlands- ... 5994.phtml?
Anyone excited for this? It seems like it's more of the same which is good for me because I enjoyed Borderlands 2 and its DLC quite a lot.
What are you guys looking for in this new game? Anyone think it's bold to release the game on older hardware rather than shiny new consoles?

New Borderlands Game = Day one buy for me. Borderlands game where I can be Claptrap = where do I sign up?
It is bold, but since Borderlands 2 is not available on the PS4/Xbone it kinda makes sense. But since I only play on the PC, it does not affect me...casterofdreams wrote:What are you guys looking for in this new game? Guess I'll be in the minority here. I personally loved Borderlands 1, but after ~20-30 hours into 2 I just got really bored and stopped caring. I guess it just almost felt like a typical dungeon crawler in someways and got a little tiresome. lolcasterofdreams wrote:Anyone excited for this? I can see that. If you play with others the game is infinitely better, but over time it can become stale. That said, if you play the Tiny Tina DLC and dont laugh out loud a couple times, well I dont know what to say. I laughed so hard on a couple parts my wife got concerned.Xeogred wrote:Guess I'll be in the minority here. I feel like the Tiny Tina DLC should be its own stand alone games.

I played the first game with a friend but when second one came out he wasn't interested in gaming so I played Borderlands 2 on my own. I still thought it was fun as a single player game!

Re: Borderlands: The Pre-sequel Thread
I am on the fence for this. Not that I don't love Borderlands...because I do. Borderlands 2 was my 2012 GOTY and it's in my Top 10 of all time. I just wish it was coming to current gen consoles (PS4/X1).
I still have my PS3, but it's hooked up to the TV in the bedroom. Ah who am I kidding? I'll probably still buy this.

For "aimless shooters" I'd rather play Arma or Battlefield over this (or Destiny), a genre of adversarial statistics and billions of junk items (aka "loot"). The charm was lost on me after the first game. I read that they added oxygen supplies to this, how original

Re: Borderlands: The Pre-sequel Thread
I have intense, slobbering disgusting love for the Borderlands franchise, and as such, have both the pre-sequel and the season pass pre-ordered. (Thanks, ridiculous discount timing at Green Man Gaming!)
Any day with more Borderlands is going to be a good, good day.

I'm excited. Won't be day one buy unless I see a nice discount somewhere. But I will have it before the end of the year for sure. Fast and Ack really have gotten me into the series, and I am just totally adoring BL2. And yeah, Tiny Tina rules. That's some DLC I will buy.
