I think I may have found a place in Austin that's literally right down the street from where I'll be working. Hope I can get that, that'd be REALLY handy.

Only difficult thing is our 3 small dogs (like, chihuahua size). The place says they allow pets, and it's not an apartment (though it is a multiplex). Hoping the amount won't be a problem, but I'm considering just fibbing a bit about them if I have to.

I've toured apartments that allowed any number of dogs/cats so long as they didn't collectively exceed a stated weight limit (e.g. 30 lbs), so you might luck out with those little ones. I've also actually lived in apartments that didn't allow pets on paper but made a written exception for my one cat, so you just never know what a place might be willing to do for you on an individual basis. I hope it works out one way or another!

EDIT:

Smile: This post wound up being the first on page 1985, which also happens to be the number of my birthyear! I don't know. This amuses me.

Aaaand THIS is what made ME smile today! :D

Also very happy for my newly acquired GB/GBC/GBA cases (same size/shape/color as DS cases). Really hope this dude keeps making other cases like he says he will.
Gunning for a licensed NES NTSC-U set, follow the madness and poverty here!
Cheat sheet of my collection, always looking to increase it. 405/677 licensed games, 46/"95" unlicensed
Chronically out of date BST thread

I suppose I'll just call and ask. If they say I can only have one pet or whatever I'll just tell them we have one 15 pound dog and if they ever find out spin this whole thing about how "eh they weigh maybe 12 pounds combined anyways they're practically one dog"

You said you know some people in Austin, right? What about having *them* call and ask about 3 small dogs.

Always ask "Is this the best possible price?". If you're with AAA you might be able to get a discount.

Smile: I slept walked last night, which isn't usually a good thing, but I woke up on my dog's bed holding my dog which was a great way to start my day.

Did you go give it to Weird Ed? Save beforehand, but his reaction is priceless.
Hahahahaha this was sooo good. Also, sorry to hear about your getting-let-go, homedawg :(

In other Happy news, though, I got my first birdie of the year on the golf course yesterday. I'm not very good, so even having an 8-foot putt for bird was exciting, but then I made it! I was ecstatic.
