Xbox 360 and PS3 Imports

Post by Forlorn Drifter »

I want to start a thread to break down the majority of good imports for these systems since we're getting closer to the end of the generation. This is mostly for my greedy self, although I'm sure it can be of use to everyone here. I think suggestions should lean towards games with English language options (subbed or dubbed, etc.) I also think we need to note where the games are coming from, as a PAL game is an import for NA users and such, and its common for non-Japanese Asian versions of games to have English language options.

I don't know many off my head, other than the region-free 360 shmups and Red Seeds Profile on PS3 (released in NA on 360, but I believe the PS3 version has been released here too.)

it might also be prudent to note whether or not the game had a digital release in the US, but a physical release in other regions (Strider, Battle Fantastia and Dungeons & Dragons Collection for instance)

Arcana Heart 3 would be another.

Also, in some cases MS was less restrictive about physical releases, leading to 360 disc in the US for some that are only digital for PS3. Battle Fantasia is like that, and Record of Agarest War (the first one anyway, I think the sequels have physical PS3 releases in the US).

Good suggestions. It'd probably take a while to cover everything, but it'd be worth it.

Just a thought, considering the systems, but what is the potential for something like fan made language patches?

Arcana Heart 3 would be another.

Deathsmiles II being a third case.
