Yeah I'll probably do the firmware updates before I do anything else. Still no word on my console though.
I'll probably start importing Mega Drive games once I get this too.

Did you pre-order from Amazon? What color?
Yeah, some MD and SFC games are much cheaper than their American counterparts. For some titles I don't really care about, that might be the way to go.

Amazon... Black...
As far as Mega Drive games go, I'm gonna start looking at JPN-exclusive RPGs.

ExedExes, you'll have to give a review of your console when you get it. I'm sure you were planning on it anyways; and it's not like I don't 'trust' other reviews I just....well, hell I just will trust yours more, lol.
I'm curious as to how the Retron controller will play with shmups too. Specifially the analog/micro-stick thingy and it's responsiveness.

I've got several SFC games on the way from Japan so I'm excited to try them out. It is amazing how much cheaper the SFC versions of certain games are compared to the NA release.

I try to go North American if a North American copy of the game exists.
Super Famicom has some godly exclusive RPGs though.

Retro RGB did a console teardown, still no info on the controller:

What do yall figure the extra slot was for at J10? My only thoughts are 32x or Master System, since the additional wiring seems to be going to the Genesis port.

That's what she said.
It might've been for the Master system considering they added the power base support later on.
