If Nintendo announces a price drop on the Wii U, I might actually think about buying one. And I haven't bought a new Nintendo console since....wow, since the SNES.

And games of course. Nintendo has the best IP's (IMO) they REALLY need to start using them.

I figured it was a deliberate misspelling, which almost makes it worse as there is an acknowledgement that they are aware that the word is offensive and are trying to "get around" that somehow.

Any Final Fantasy VII remake/port would end up on something like the Vita, not a home console.

Hoping Wii U gets another Crystal Chronicles game though. Those games are the shit.

Yeah, I know that they make games for all consoles, but recently Sony dropped support of them. I don't know what that means exactly, but Square maybe in a place to do something huge to get back some lost business. And Nintendo needs something badly right now as well. So an FF7 remake on the WiiU exclusively might just do that. Of course, FF7 is probably just vaporware and it'll never get made. But as a fan of the original, I can dream? LOL. I'll find a link to the news article and edit my post with it.

It looks like Sony sold all of the stock they owned in Square Enix (which was enough to give them part ownership of the company.) So, while they weren't exclusive by any means, I'm guessing that Square is none too happy with Sony. If Nintendo were to somehow buy those shares, it's be huge for both parties. Maybe. They'd have to actually do something with it. But we can hope.

So, the answer for Square is to remake a game exclusively for a platform which has the lowest sales figures thus far? Sounds like a smart business plan...

Not just a console though.... a Nintendo console. It actually could be a smart business plan. I'm sure that no one thought the Wii would do what it did....

If Nintendo can get out of this slump, they could have a resurgence. They could also fail, which I hope they don't. But it could happen.
