what pc games to buy with my christmas money...

i got $100 in christmas money and i'm having a hard time deciding what to buy. i think i'm going to have to buy left 4 dead for sure. the demo was simply amazing. that leaves me with one other game. does anyone here have any of the following?

• grand theft auto 4
  mirror's edge
  farcry 2
  crysis warhead

i'm leaning toward mirror's edge because it just looks so different from any other game i've played and i love the art style. the only downside is that i've heard it's very short. grand theft auto 4 would probably be my next choice but i've heard the pc version is plagued with bugs. i've played all the other gta games though and absolutely love that whole series. i think multiplayer would be a lot of fun. thoughts?

I would say take GTA IV if you have a powerful PC

Team Fortress 2 is only $9.99 on Steam right now. That's worth it, and for that matter, the Orange Box is only like $25 i think, that's an even better deal. Mirror's Edge is a very short game to buy, I think it is definitely more of a borrow game than buy.

Don't be stupid and just buy one expensive game. Hit up steam's current sale and start buying all the critically praised $10 and $15 games. All 4 games you listed are massive disappointments, and you won't get more than a couple hours of fun out of them. You'll get more out of any one of the budget titles on here. Times that by 4-5 games, which you'll be able to afford.

fallout 3 doesn't really look that interesting to me. this is probably because i never played the original fallout games (although i have all three).

i also don't like buying from steam because i want the disc and box in my hands. i don't like buying something that i can't physically hold.

i was also thinking about hitting up ebay to get some old pc games that i've been wanting for a while. what to do...
