FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY I got a deal. 2 nes systems, 2 light guns, 2 controllers, 12 or so sports games, model 2 genesis (VA1 VERSION) Which i think was a bad version, 2 controllers and 8 or so sports games which was all 20.00.
Now time to clean everything up and sell or trade. I don't know if i should keep the genesis since i own a model 1. I just love the way the model 2 looks. It's such a sweet looking system.

Yeah I agree, the model 2's look better overall I think (assuming you're putting it all together with a 32x and SegaCD). You can do a mod to make any Genny have the good sound now, check Sega-16.
Gunning for a licensed NES NTSC-U set, follow the madness and poverty here!

Yeah I don't have those kind of skills. Its just a cool design. I'll pick up av cords and xheck out the colors and sounds between both systemsKalessinDB wrote:Yeah I agree, the model 2's look better overall I think (assuming you're putting it all together with a 32x and SegaCD). Flip the NES's somewhere, get some cash, and use it to pay someone to do the audio mod. Done and done!mas wrote:Yeah I don't have those kind of skills. Its just a cool design. Uh, yeah, it does, but it's one of those really old RF modulators, the one with the prongs (like the one seen half way down on this page), so hooking it up isn't really feasible for me at this time. Despite my love of all things retro, even I don't have a TV that old. I'm going to need some kind of adapter. I've been looking around and I think I might have found it here: http://www.amazon.com/RCA-VH58-Matching-Transformer/dp/B00005T3EZ/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1402262543&sr=8-5&keywords=ohm+adapter.CRTGAMER wrote:Michi wrote:TI-99/4A - $15
As you can see it came with a frack-ton of paperwork, enough to rival the weight of the system. If you're wondering, no, I don't really know if it works. It turns on, but there was nothing for me to hook it up to and no software/games to test it on even if I could.
The system itself looks to be in great shape (though the box has seen better days), so I took a chance on it. If nothing else it's an interesting piece of gaming history and the earliest system I have ever come across in the wild.
If anyone has any suggestions, pointers or can give me a good idea of the best way to hook this bad boy up, feel free to let me know.Very nice, looks pristine! It should have come with a video cable which hooks up to the TV just like a game console.
Does anyone know if that's right or perhaps point me in the direction of a better option? Other than scouring the thrift stores for an old TV this seems like the most cost effective option to find out if this thing really works.

That's the right adapter to use what came with the system, yes.Michi wrote: Does anyone know if that's right or perhaps point me in the direction of a better option? Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
went to a flea market today. saw a case full of nintendo carts. one was Contra Force. no price tag. i said "how much on Contra Force?" the guy said "$20." i said "i'll take it." i noticed a chip on the cart when i was inspecting it and he said, without any prompting, "oh i didn't know there was a chip on it, i'll take $15." i said sure.
label is in pretty nice shape and the cart works fine. i did zero haggling and made no attempt to blind my purchase by sandwiching it between other carts. that said, this copy of Contra Force is now available for sale or trade at or near the regular market rate, because i am a dishonest, filthy, disgusting reseller scumbag.
