rye-den
oh-toe-mee-dee-us and it is somewhat Gradius related.

The other is Raiden Fighters Aces. It is more old school, I prefer it to IV.

Atari 2600 SuperCharger Add-on - MOAR POWER!

Post by Metal Jesus »

The Starpath SuperCharger was a powerful add-on for the Atari 2600 that allowed games to be loaded from cassette with better graphics and deeper gameplay. The Immortal John Hancock shows us all the games for it plus much more.

Does anybody else own a SuperCharger? What are your favorite games on the system?

Neat. I knew of the device and how it worked, but had never seen one or the games. That CD is a super awesome idea though, 1 game per track. I wonder if anyone has done anything similar with C64 games and a custom hookup so you can not have to deal with winding tapes. I imagine it would be easier to just convert tape games to disk, but still.

I don't think I'd record the tapes to CD. I think I'd just put 'em on a MiniDisc. Or maybe my iPod. Put 'em in a randomized playlist and play 2600 Supercharger Roulette. You have to play whatever game happens to load.

That sounds like a plan for the next I Hate You video.

sooo.... I take it these cant run on Stella emulator?

For being only twelve games, has anyone thought to port them to stella?

I would like to try these that way. I doubt I would ever find this in "the wild"

doesnt hurt to dream though.

Informative and good video as always. Every time I watch your videos I learn about some new hardware piece or game I've never heard about.
